Valuation
Project earnings forward and see what return today's price implies.
EPS was negative in at least one boundary year, so a compound growth rate can't be computed from it. Set your own assumption.
- EPS in 5 years
- $4.26
- Implied price
- $21.28
- Return from $17.55
- 3.9% a year
To earn 15.0% a year on these assumptions you'd need to buy at $10.58 — -39.7% below today's price.
How sensitive is that answer?
Annual return across nearby assumptions. If the result is only attractive in one corner, that is the finding.
| growth \ P/E | 1 | 3 | 5 | 7 | 9 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| -2.0% | -31.7% | -14.9% | -5.7% | 0.9% | 6.1% |
| 3.0% | -28.2% | -10.5% | -0.9% | 6.0% | 11.5% |
| 8.0% | -24.7% | -6.2% | 3.9% | 11.2% | 16.9% |
| 13.0% | -21.2% | -1.8% | 8.7% | 16.3% | 22.3% |
| 18.0% | -17.7% | 2.5% | 13.5% | 21.5% | 27.7% |
This is arithmetic on assumptions you chose, not a forecast or a recommendation. It ignores dividends, buybacks, share issuance and debt, and it assumes a company still earning money in 5 years. Change any input and the answer changes a lot — that sensitivity is the honest result, not a flaw in the model.

NatWest named top pick by Citi as European banking bull run nears final leg NatWest Group PLC (LSE:NWG) was named a top pick by Citi on Wednesday, even as the investment bank cautioned that the current European banking bull run is nearing its final leg. The shares dipped 0.23% to 688.6p as Citi maintained an 'overweight' rating on the wider sector, observing that recent earnings upgrades have now broadened to other market sectors too.

NatWest: Improving Deposit Margin Continues To Lift Earnings NatWest Group continues to deliver impressive financial results, with the bank's return on tangible equity exceeding 20% last quarter. NWG's net interest margin is still expanding on the back of the mechanistic reinvestment of its deposits, offsetting tighter loan spreads. Despite fears that U.S. tariffs and the Middle East conflict would lead to a rise in loan losses, credit quality remains strong.
