How dangerous is it to park my short term savings by buying SGOV instead of parking the money in an fdic-backed HYSA? It's just more convenient to use an account with Fidelity to hold SGOV because I already use it for my job's 401k and my Roth IRA. And if you're chasing a competitive HYSA interest rate you need to open an account with some random bank increasing the amount of institutions & different apps you gotta deal with.

70% SGOV / 30% TQQQ has much higher returns and almost half the max drawdown of 100% QQQ. If you have $100k you only have to invest $30k to get a better return and much less risk than $100k in QQQ. What is the downside I'm missing? https://testfol.io/?s=34hbaOgfpzO

SGOV vs. VBIL: Vanguard Finally Has a T-Bill ETF, So Is It the Cheaper Place to Park Cash? Vanguard finally built a T-bill ETF to challenge the category king, and the fee story is not as simple as Vanguard fans expect. The real tiebreaker has nothing to do with basis points.

Like if you gained 10,000 then reinvested it in a similar security and lost it within the wash sale period (~30 days), you still have to pay taxes on that 10,000 Personally I don't bother tracking wash sales and just set aside a percentage of the gains in SGOV to use for taxes the following year.
